This special Fir Honey is one of the rarest in the world. We like to call it "Fairy" honey because of the pearly iridescence that laces its amber hue. It is also enigmatic due to its sporadic availability. It is produced in Greece at an elevation of 2000m and unlike conventional honey, the bees feed off the honeydew secretions of aphids rather on nectar and pollen. As such, it has a very mild sweetness and contains a higher quantity of precious minerals and metals (phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, and iron) than all other types of honey. It is potent for restoring the body’s adaptive and immune response systems as well as containing beneficial properties for the stomach. It promotes anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and antiseptic action in the whole body and especially the respiratory system, as well as protecting against bad breath.
